Since 1997 the organisation has provided training and services to the people of this country empowering individuals and transforming communities.The name of our programme means save and it teaches men and women how to save the lives of mothers and babies at birth – in a country having the tragic boast of maternal and infant mortality rates among the highest in the world.

The role of the Mother and Child Health Programme Director includes supporting and mentoring the national Programme Manager facilitating further training opportunities for the programme team budgeting and fund raising and reviewing and revising the programme Memorandum of Understanding in preparation for its extension and renewal at the end of 2028. It also involves investigating opportunities for further development and expansion of the programme exploring other programme options and implementing those that get approved.

The post holder will have at least a bachelors degree in a related field a masters degree is preferable. Experience in practising values based and collaborative leadership is an advantage. The post holder will also have background training or significant experience in community development and primary health.
