This international school is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to teach either Grade 1 2 or 4 for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Interested teachers will have a desire to both teach and care for their students with Gods love. They will want to work in a cross-cultural setting in international education in a crossroads mega-city of this region with a diverse staff of teachers and administrators from many countries.

Counsellor

This ministry was started by some of our partners in 2014 to address the long-term impact of childhood abuse which is rampant in the local and refugee communities. This is a non-official group including a few licensed counsellors.

There is need among the expatriate national and refugee communities for counsellors. This country has a high attrition rate among its expatriate workers and counsellors can help stem the flow. There are also enormous needs in the local community which could be addressed by a qualified counsellor. This job could be done through the local or international church or independently.

We are looking for a short-term licensed counsellor who can help with English-speaking expats and nationals or a long-term counsellor who can learn the language and get involved at a deeper level.

English Teacher

This short-term position is for an ESL teacher (or a native English speaker able to help ESL learners) to give office ESL help to organization staff and leaders during work hours. This ESL at the desk is wanted by the staff to improve their capacity and allow greater access to training partnering working with outside organizations etc. ESL as ministry is needed here. The hours would be flexible depending on how many staff and how much work time they can give to ESL improvement.

A person with a heart for integrating their skills in teaching English and personal relationships with a calling to spread the good news. English Club Coordinator

The English conversation clubs are a new outreach of the church and provide a natural way for social encounters shared experience telling ones story and building friendships with locals. This position is for an individual interested in overseeing the general operation of the club. This would involve engaging the church to support this ministry through promoting the club and recruiting facilitators and helpers local community promotion and planning timetables for the running of the club. This Coordinator should attend the club regularly and could be a facilitator to plan club activities if interested.

Administration skills computer skills sufficient confidence to promote the club in front of the congregation an ability to work cross-culturally with other expats passion and flexibility are all key characteristics.

The Facilitator would be responsible for planning interesting activities to engage the local participants in conversation to assist in the development of their English conversational skills. As a facilitator he/she must also be able to respond when help is needed (vocabulary grammar pronunciation etc).

We are looking for a native speaker with a good grasp of the English language who can develop creative and engaging activities to encourage conversation. An ability to work cross-culturally with other expats and with local citizens creativity passion and flexibility are all good characteristics.

Donor Relations Manager

Clinical Counsellor

Our team consists of a variety of experienced and trained caring professionals. We aim for ethical spiritual and moral responsibility based on Biblical principles and founded in prayer.

The post-holder will provide professional clinical counselling for individuals couples families and groups assessing each client to identify mental well-being concerns and emotional distress and offering an appropriate therapeutic approach. They will ensure adherence to a professional ethical framework such as BACP. They will assist with preparation for and involvement with the centres training seminars as required. They will meet regularly with other colleagues for peer support and review and at least once a month with an external supervisor. They will assist with financial administration by communicating clearly with clients regarding appointments and by working with the office manager regarding payments for service provision. They will maintain accurate client records and document the therapeutic approaches provided and progress made ensuring the appropriate security of client notes.

Applicants should have cross-cultural experience preferably with an organisation good interpersonal skills with people from diverse backgrounds and an acceptance of the spiritual and cultural diversity they bring to an international team experience in providing a range of pastoral and mental health care services and a willingness to develop and provide training on relevant topics. They must hold a recognised professional clinical counselling qualification and have two or more years post-qualifying clinical practice. They need exemplary interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to speak another language such as Korean Khmer Chinese French or Spanish will be advantageous as will experience of living and working in the country of service. The ability to provide clinical supervision and mentoring will be helpful.

There are opportunities to become part of an NGO that provides among other things medical support care and life skills training at a male drug rehabilitation centre and medical support at a care centre for disabled children. Addicts and prostitutes who have come to know Jesus need psychological support counselling and medical advice. Although medical educational and project management skills are particularly useful the heart and passion of any potential partner is key.

Teachers

This project serves several million people in a rural area through a variety of community development projects and a hospital and training centre. An English-medium school serves the families of staff of the project and the wider community. There are currently 130 national and a few expatriate students in small classes from Kindergarten to Grade 10. Emphasis is on quality teaching and Christian example.

The school serves a student population of around 140 national and some international children from 4 to 16 years of age. The schools class sizes are generally around 16 but smaller in the upper school with challenges of delivering Cambridge English medium education to second language speakers in a vibrant but challenging cross-cultural environment. The greatest need for teachers is in the upper school for O-levels but also for the reception and middle school years.

While long-term service (2 years or more) is preferredshorter periods of service are also welcome.
