Cathy is an educator, researcher, and entrepreneur who has spent more than 37 years serving with Interserve in a range of different contexts. Cathy has spent the last three decades focussing on and listening to the lives and experiences of women in Islam. Cathy is passionate about missiology, women’s education and empowerment, about development work, and most of all about sharing Jesus’ Good News with all she encounters.

Her doctoral research focused on the lives of women activists in Pakistan, and in recent years she has cofounded When Women Speak… (whenwomenspeak.net), a network created to “give attention to the place of women’s voices where Christianity, Islam and missiology meet.” She continues to work in the fields of missiology, education, and leadership.

What is Team Support?

Team Support is a model whereby a group of people commits to supporting an Interserve Partner through regular prayer, relationship, practical and financial support. On Trackers serving for more than 12 months also raise Team Support to prepare them for long-term service.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

On this page, each donation allocation has been marked as tax-deductible or non-tax-deductible.

In Australia, a tax deduction can be claimed for donations to certain types of work only.

Donations of $2 or more to eligible work (e.g. aid & development for people in need) are tax-deductible. Receipts are issued by Interserve Development Limited.

Donations for Interserve’s other work (e.g. theological education and similar work with churches) are not tax-deductible. Receipts are issued by Interserve Australia Limited.
