Our friend Jane recently invited us to the home group she hosts. It happened to be International Women’s Day. It was an honour to be invited for the special celebration and to hear the teaching of God’s Word by Jane’s mother who has been attending a Bible study course. Later, they invited us to attend their home group each Sunday.
Unfortunately, since then we have had to practice physical distancing and had to stop meeting, but Laura has been able to keep in touch with Jane and they have been able to encourage each other during these difficult times of restrictions.
“It is wonderful and inspiring to see more of how God is using Jane to encourage others to turn to Him through her witness of His grace, mercy and love.”
Jane’s cousin also attends the home group. For many years, he has been living in fear of spirits that disturb him. He has met with fortune tellers and Muslim teachers and clergy, to try to find a way to be rid of these spirits. But he only found relief when he came to seek help from Jane. Jane shared about Jesus, who is the only One who can set him free and who came to save and give him life. Since then, Jane’s cousin is finding peace by reading the Bible and he is attending the home group with his wife and children to learn more.
It is wonderful and inspiring to see more of how God is using Jane to encourage others to turn to Him through her witness of His grace, mercy and love. Recently, Jane heard about the need for food for COVID-19 workers. So, she decided to prepare food for the police at the roadblocks, not just to feed them, but also to share God’s love.
Simon and Laura are Interserve Partners living in Central Asia.
