Serve

Where We Serve

Interserve workers serve in Asia, the Arab world, and among migrant communities in Australia.

In partnership with local colleagues, we share our skills and experience to tackle marginalisation and disadvantage. We serve mainly in places where there are very few followers of Jesus, spiritual and physical needs are the greatest and the church is small or persecuted. We seek to bring tangible hope to people’s lives in practical ways.

Alongside The Church

Wherever we work, we do so in partnership with the Church. We join local organisations, such as schools, hospitals, businesses, NGOs and theological colleges, and so contribute to the grassroots work of local believers reaching out to their community.

Stories of working alongside the church

Supporting You

To be effective, you will need to learn how to use your professional skills in a cross-cultural context, be committed to learn the local language, understand the culture and engage with the local church.

We are committed to helping you prepare, identifying a placement that is the best possible for for you and the team, and providing a strong, well-resourced support network. From raising support, to figuring out the children’s education or responding to emergencies, we are committed to walking beside you.
