God has given each of us something special: a gift, a blessing, a skill, a resource. Whatever it is, it’s a gift with a purpose.
Remember that in God’s economy, everything counts – just like in the story of Ingrid and Amira.
Ingrid is an Interserve Partner who serves in a healthcare clinic in the Arab world. Amira visited her clinic, asking for help managing a chronic health condition in her family.
The family had many needs, and many were beyond what we could help with – including very costly surgery or a commitment to pay for expensive medications.
But Amira continued to share about her life and struggles. And we continued to pray that a solution to the impossible would be found.
Thanks to the help of our clinic supporters, we were able to assist with medication and clothes for Amira‘s family and provide a small amount of sewing work for her.
Amazingly, through this help, Amira was able to find a full-time job. When she recently returned to the clinic, the change in her mood and appearance was just amazing. She was much happier, and her problems did not weigh her down as much as they had been before. Incredibly, even difficult family relationships had improved too.
What we give may not solve everything, but God can use it to do so much more than we can think or imagine.
