Go love the world: you are a manifestation of the love of God

Just how easy is it to remember that ‘we are a manifestation of the love of God?’

For most of us, it is not that easy.

In fact, it is much easier to simply adopt our faith each Sunday, raise our hands during worship, then go home and shrug off our ‘transformed’ status. By Monday morning, when we walk past the homeless man shivering in the cold, our minds are in weekday mode, where we can easily convince ourselves that getting to work on time that day is a better Christian example than stopping for a real conversation or offering practical assistance.

While living conscientiously is important, we are primarily placed on Earth to be ambassadors for Christ, showing individuals from all nations the love and truth of Jesus.

Undertaking this task means giving up our time, embracing pain and surrendering our resources.

In our modern society, these are particularly difficult choices to make, but it is not all hard: when we obey God, we also experience untold joy both now and in eternity.
