This well-established NGO recognises the importance of responding to climate change throughout the country it serves. The organisation needs to bring new environmental and sustainability initiatives into its development work to take it to the forefront of implementing new technologies in the field.
The complete job title is Environmental and Sustainability Development Advisor. The post holder will have expertise and experience in community development and climate change mitigation and will develop a counterpart and advise the senior leadership and train project leaders and staff. They will research and pilot new ideas in key areas and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the work ensuring the NGO abides by ethical and international standards in environmentally sustainable initiatives.
Qualifications include a relevant Masters degree for instance in environmental development sustainable development or similar and three years experience in an I/NGO and developing world context.The post holder will show commitment in building managerial and technical skills in national staff and will have a good understanding of and full commitment to the NGOs values.Experience of working in country or in South Asia is preferred.
