Poverty in the rural areas sees thousands move to the city in the hope of securing work. Most dont find the prosperous future they were longing for. Instead they are forced to live in substandard accommodation in poor areas of the city. With limited education no financial resources and an abundance of people willing to exploit their situation day-to-day living is a challenge. Our work focuses on empowering women from 3 local slum communities. Income generation through dignified employment is the cornerstone of our work.

The work we do is focused on empowering women. Women are taught skills (or utilise existing skills) to produce beautiful high-quality products. The income they earn helps them to become increasingly self-sufficient. Their confidence and self-esteem grow as they are empowered to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of those who depend on them. We are looking for a Marketing / Graphic designer.

We are looking for specialists who can input into the development of the business particularly in the area of promotional material content writing photography social media and sales. The role would be to produce material and mentor staff to build capacity within the existing team.
