Our next gathering
The West Asia Virtual Tour
You’re invited to a virtual tour of West Asia! Our tour leaders are Interserve workers and local friends currently living there. Join us for this three-night tour as together we consider how they walk alongside their neighbours, friends and colleagues with the love of Jesus.
We can’t go overseas right now, but through this tour may you be encouraged as you Support, Pray, and perhaps one day Go.
Dates: 24 September, 1 October & 8 October 2020
Time: 7:30pm-9:30pm AEST
Location: This is an online, Australia-wide Zoom virtual tour. Upon registration, you will receive the tour access details.
The schedule for the tour:
Week 1 (24/9): A bird’s eye view of the culture, history and faith of West Asia
Week 2 (1/10): A virtual walk alongside refugees in West Asia
Week 3 (8/10): A close look into the faith community in West Asia
In order to get the best experience we encourage you to register for all three weeks as they are designed to be a 6 hour virtual tour. However we understand life is busy and we don’t want you to miss out, so you can just register for an individual session.
Partner with this work
This is a free event, but a donation of $15 per person/per night is suggested to the Tangible Love Community Centre for Refugees Project, which supports many of the workers and projects that we visit in this virtual tour.
Make your secure, online donation here: tangiblelove.org.au/campaigns/communitycentre.
Thursday, 25 June 2020 // 8.00-9:30pm AEST
On our Q&A Panel, we’ll have four Interservers, including those serving cross-culturally in Central Asia and West Asia. They will be reflecting on the topic of: “Journeying into Lament: Seeking God’s Face in Grief”.
Interserve is a community of ordinary Christians putting faith into action. We live and work among the most marginalised peoples of the Arab world, Asia and Australia.
Motivated by Christ’s heart of compassion, and in partnership with His church, we share our skills and experience to change tomorrow by what we do today.
